What Disney is actually like, and who it suits
Disney costs roughly double the mainstream lines for the same week, and the honest answer to "is it worth it" is: entirely, or not at all, depending on who is in your cabin.
With children, it is not close. The kids' clubs are the best at sea, the rotational dining means your servers move with you and learn your kids' names, the shows are genuinely West End standard, and there is no casino and no art auction and no photographer chasing you. It is the least nickel-and-dimed ship afloat.
Without children, you are paying a very large premium for a ship built around other people's children. The adults-only areas are good, but they are a district, not the ship.
Also worth knowing: no casino at all, and the ships are smaller than the Royal Caribbean giants.
If you sailed Disney as adults with no kids, was it a mistake? Genuinely useful either way.
