Genuinely small: 672 passengers. This is a different kind of cruising from the big-ship product.

A veteran — 1999. Older ships divide people: smaller, more characterful, often cheaper, and the fittings show their age in places. Plenty of people prefer them and say so loudly.

Expect itinerary and service to be the product rather than onboard facilities. These ships go places the big ones physically cannot.

Passenger-to-crew works out around 1.8 to 1 — comfortable, roughly the mainstream standard.

From her deck plan: an indoor promenade, a spa, a sports deck and a central atrium. That is what the layout shows — if something has been changed in a refit, correct us.

Cabins run from deck 3 to deck 17 across 10 decks. The usual advice applies and applies harder on a ship this shape: mid-ship and low is the steadiest ride, and what sits directly above your cabin matters more than the view out of it.

Sailed her? The thing worth posting is what surprised you — good or bad.
